The Orlando Pagan Collective began many moons ago, in 1989, when two of our founding members hosted their first public Sabbat Circle in Cocoa Beach at Litha (Midsummer). From this small beginning, the Wiccan Religious Cooperative was formed in order to serve the religious and spiritual needs of the rapidly growing Central Florida Wiccan community. The Wiccan Religious Cooperative of Florida, Inc. (WRCF) was incorporated in August of 1992. On November 8, 1993, WRCF was granted 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service.

WRCF was not created to be a coven, nor do we dictate specific tradition. Instead, we strive to function as an umbrella group, designed to encourage those of many paths and traditions to come together for worship, socializing, education, assistance, and peace.

In the past 25 years, the local pagan community has changed. It is only right that our church also change to meet the new needs of this community. At the end of May, 2011, paperwork was filed to begin a new chapter in the life of the WRCF. We now operate under a “DBA” -Doing Business As. Names were submitted by the community, then voted upon, giving us the new moniker of Orlando Pagan Collective. While our name is legally still The Wiccan Religious Cooperative of Florida, Inc., our DBA has been registered with the state and IRS. The Orlando Pagan Collective (OPC) more accurately reflects what we have become.

OPC operates under a Board of Directors, made up of nominees elected by the voting membership at our Annual Meeting. All participation in the OPC is voluntary and without pay. We’ve come together to establish positive inter-faith relationships with other individuals and religious organizations who share our beliefs in religious freedom. These individuals bring a wide variety of skills and knowledge to their positions, as well as the perspective of a wide variety of Pagan traditions. We are always looking for new people with new perspectives to join our ranks.
